Why is the Test Done?
This test is performed to look for parasitic infections of gastrointestinal tract. Three most common organisms are Giardia species., Entamoeba histolytic and Cryptosporidium species.Patient may experience diarrhoea, abdominal pain and blood/mucous in stool.
