Why is the Test Done?
To evaluate your pituitary function, especially in terms of fertility issues. If you are having difficulty getting pregnant or having irregular menstrual periods; if your doctor thinks that you have symptoms of a pituitary or hypothalamic disorder or symptoms of ovarian of testicular disease; if a doctor suspects that a child has delayed or earlier than expected sexual maturation.
